The Base Energia is a company focused on energy management, with the goal of bringing greater savings to businesses through intelligent energy consumption optimization.
The company approached us to develop a printed material. But after a few meetings, we find that the brand needed a more mature and consistent visual identity, that would add value to their work.
The visual identity
Our job here was to create a new visual identity, based on the previous one, in order to give more value to the brand. For this, a custom typography for the logo was created, together with a symbol which can be used separately.
We also created a set of icons for use in any type of material, as well as all stationery, brochure and a new website.
We deconstructed the logo into two parts: typography and symbol. For the symbol, two figures were used: the trapezius, already used in the previous version, which is the basis, the foundation of a job well developed, and a thunderbolt, which is a symbol easily associated to electricity, which is the segment the company operates.
For the typography, we create a custom one for the word "base", and selected other two typefaces for use both in the logo as the text elements for the most diverse applications.
The version at the right is the original logo, used as reference.
In addition to the definition of typography and color palette, we also created a set of icons to enrich the visual identity of the company. The subject of the icons follows a symbology used in electrical engineering projects. The four icons below represent the areas of business activity while the rest are secondary and can be used on any material.
Courses and Training
The last step was the development of a new website. Using WordPress as a content management system, we create an institutional site with an administrative area created to make easier the registration of new projects, downloadable files and informative content.
